Tamarack Camps – Jewish Summer Camps & Family Programs

Tamarack Camps is a long-established Jewish camp organization offering summer and family programs designed to combine outdoor experiences, personal growth, community life and cultural identity. The organization serves children, teenagers and families through a broad range of camp formats and travel-based programs, with activities that encourage independence, confidence, friendships and a strong connection to Jewish community and tradition. The central offering includes several distinct programs. Camp Maas provides a traditional residential camp experience, while Outpost Camps focus more strongly on outdoor adventure and smaller-group experiences.

Tamarack Camps also operates travel programs and Israel-focused experiences, giving older participants opportunities to explore new places while remaining connected to the organization’s broader educational and community mission. Family Camp extends the concept beyond individual campers and creates shared experiences for parents, grandparents and children. A notable part of the organization’s work is its emphasis on accessibility and inclusion. Tamarack Camps provides special-needs inclusion programs and also offers scholarships, with the website highlighting substantial financial support intended to make participation possible for more families.

The organization also maintains alumni activities, community events and year-round connections beyond the summer season. The website presents Tamarack Camps as more than a simple recreational camp. Its purpose combines youth development, outdoor education, cultural learning, social connection and community-building. The camp environment is used as a setting in which participants can step away from everyday routines, develop new skills, form lasting relationships and strengthen their Jewish identity.

Its defining focus is Jewish summer camp and youth development, supported by family programs, travel experiences, inclusion services, scholarships and community involvement.
