OurSports Central

OurSports Central is an English-language sports news and information platform specializing in minor leagues, alternative professional sports, and selected major and amateur competitions across the United States and Canada. Founded in 1999, the publication gives leagues and teams that often receive less mainstream coverage a dedicated source for current news and reference information.

Coverage spans a wide range of sports. Baseball includes affiliated and independent minor leagues as well as college wood bat competitions. The site also follows basketball, hockey, soccer, indoor and arena football, lacrosse, and other organized sports. Examples include the NBA G League, Canadian Hockey League, National Lacrosse League, United Soccer League competitions, Minor League Baseball organizations, and numerous independent leagues. Selected major competitions such as Major League Soccer and the WNBA are also represented.

Visitors can follow current team and league news, browse scores and schedules, review recent headlines, and access information about individual organizations. Dedicated league sections provide an overview of participating teams, franchise locations, websites, and related resources. The publication also maintains recurring editorial features that track changes involving leagues, franchises, teams, and competition structures.

The website is therefore broader than a news feed for one sport or league. Its defining purpose is centralized coverage of organized sports competitions that receive less attention from conventional national sports media. News reporting, schedules, scores, team information, league directories, and historical material work together as parts of the same sports information service, with minor and alternative league coverage forming its strongest editorial identity.
