Arrowhead Camp & Retreat Center

Arrowhead Camp & Retreat Center is a Christian camp and retreat facility located near the Brazos River outside Cleburne, Texas. Established in 1953, the center provides a setting for summer camps, retreats, group gatherings and faith-based programs while combining accommodation, meeting facilities and outdoor recreation in one location.

The property serves children, teenagers, families, adults, church groups and other organizations. During the summer season, Arrowhead hosts camps that typically run for several days and cater to youth, children and families. During the rest of the year, the facility is used for weekend retreats, group events, leadership activities and other organized gatherings.

Accommodation includes private lodge rooms as well as dorm-style rooms for groups. The site also provides RV spaces with utility hookups. Meeting facilities range from smaller rooms to larger gathering spaces, including a tabernacle with capacity for several hundred guests and a chapel for smaller groups.

Recreational facilities and activities include basketball, volleyball, a swimming pool, playground areas, archery, lawn games, indoor games and outdoor gathering areas. The rural riverside setting also provides opportunities for groups to spend time outdoors away from urban surroundings.

Arrowhead Camp & Retreat Center operates as a ministry of the West Texas District Church of the Nazarene. Its Christian orientation is therefore an important part of the organization rather than simply an optional program offered at the facility. The center describes its mission as providing a place where guests can explore nature, experience Christian fellowship and participate in spiritual activities.
